2012 Golden Girl Auditions
For those interested in being a part of the Golden Girls for the Fall 2012 season, see the home page for the current official 2012 flyer. Golden Girl auditions will take place on March 31 with Saturday workshops from 1:00-3:00PM on March 18 and April 15 March 3 and March 24 (corrected dates).

The LSU Golden Girls
Taking the field with the Tiger Band at LSU for the first time in 1959, the prestigious LSU Golden Girls represent the oldest and most established danceline on the LSU campus. The line consists of a very talented group of young ladies who are chosen each spring by a special audition. Membership is open to all students who are on campus or are entering freshmen or transfer students who have been accepted to LSU by the audition date. Students in college (including transfer students) must have a 2.0 grade-point average in order to audition for the line. Previous studio dance training is highly recommended.

The Golden Girls are one of the feature units with the LSU Tiger Band and perform for all home LSU football games and selected campus events, as well as, away games (including bowl games) with the full Tiger Band. All students chosen for the LSU Golden Girls receive a scholarship of $1000.

New members of the Golden Girls begin practice in the summer. During the fall, everyone practices with the Tiger Band Tuesday through Friday afternoons from 4:00-5:30 pm. They also meet on their own during the week as needed, generally Tuesday evenings. The Golden Girls also appear at the annual football signing day in the spring, as well as, other LSU-oriented events. They do not compete, but they do receive class credit for participation on the line.

2009-2010 LSU GOLDEN GIRLS
Returning Members include Jessica Baer, Brittany Brady, Brittany Brignac, Danielle Hardy (captain), Lauren Harpole, Courtney Labat, Elizabeth Maier, Caroline Sexton, and Kelsey Walden. New Members are Charlotte Baker, Alexandra Carter, Hannah Honeycutt, Abigail Ward and Roxenne Yi. The gold uniforms the Golden Girls are in below (and that they wore for Pregame in fall 2009) are replicas of the very first uniform as seen above.

2006-07 LSU Golden Girls: Returning members include Hilary Buras (Captain), Julie Aldridge, Natalie Baily, Amanda Joseph, Lindsay Lauricella, Lauren Miller, Kenley Minchew, Lacey Minchew, Lindsay Ordoyne and Lindsay Wynn. New members include Caroline Cormier, Kellie Geoffroy, Harmony Lyles, Elizabeth Maier, Tayler Schulte, and Kelsey Walden. (Pictured below is the line.)
